Our Favorite Chicago Bears Alternate Jerseys

The Chicago Bears have worn some form of their classic blue and orange jerseys throughout the team's 100-year history. There are a number of alternate jerseys and throwback looks that highlight some of our favorites of all time.

1994

The Chicago Bears introduced their first official alternate jerseys, which were throwback uniforms worn in honor of the NFL's 75th Anniversary. The jerseys included orange and blue vertical stripes, designed resemble to the old grip strips on the original uniforms worn by the team in the 1920s.

1995  

For the 1995 NFL season, the Chicago Bears introduced an all-white uniform against the Detroit Lions on Monday Night Football. The jersey was designed to resemble the Bears' road jersey worn from 1957 to 1983. A fan favorite, as well as one of our all-time picks, the Chicago Bears wore the all-white kit again from 2000 to 2003, and in 2006, 2008 and 2009.

2004

On Thanksgiving Day against the Dallas Cowboys, the Chicago Bears debuted their orange throwback jerseys. This alternate jersey remains in circulation as one of the best alternate jerseys in the NFL. For this alternate jersey, the orange swaps with the navy blue to become the dominant color alongside the navy blue complementary color. These jerseys were worn for the 2004 through 2008 NFL seasons.

2010

The Chicago Bears introduced throwback jerseys to represent the Monsters of the Midway team of the 1940s. The jerseys featured large orange block numbers on a dark navy blue jersey.

2019

For the 2019 NFL season, the Chicago Bears designed a special alternate jersey to celebrate the team's centennial anniversary. The throwback jerseys were based on the 1936 uniform combination. The white jerseys included thin blue and orange stripes on the arms and shoulder pad areas. A special "100" patch was also added to the front of the jerseys. The alternate jerseys remain a fan favorite that was worn twice by the team throughout the 2019 season.
