During the first weekend in July, NASCAR is bringing street racing to the streets of the Chicago Loop. This is the first event of its kind in NASCAR’s 75-year history. The circuit will be 2.2 miles on a 12-turn course, while taking the drivers around Grant Park and through some of the most iconic parts of the city. Fans can watch the race from a variety of locations. They will also be able to listen to the top musical artists in a festival style event. On Saturday, July 1st, the NASCAR Xfinity series will take place that afternoon at 4:00 p.m. and feature some of NASCAR’s rising stars in a 55-lap race. There will also be multiple concerts, with the JC Brooks Band and the Black Crowes performing before the race, and the Chainsmokers performing after the race. On Sunday, July 2nd, the NASCAR Cup Series will feature the biggest names in racing 100-laps at 4:30 p.m. The concerts before the race will feature Charley Crockett and Miranda Lambert. To celebrate race week, there will be a fan fest at Navy Pier on Tuesday, June 27th. This will feature a live stream of the Coca-Cola iRacing Series on the Chicago street course, as well as the opportunity to use NASCAR’s sim racers and drive the same course as the Cup series drivers. There will also be lots of opportunities for photo ops with the Grant Park 220 trophy and the NASCAR Cup Series Trophy, along with NASCAR Next Gen Show Car. While the races and concerts are going on, NASCAR has also partnered with multiple businesses to provide the best experience to the Chicagoans and visitors. They have offered a variety of deals to stores, restaurants, museums, and other family fun activities around Chicago.
Clark Street Sports has also partnered with NASCAR to release some exclusive new hats. There are three fitted, one adjustable, two snapback hats and one mesh. Each hat has its own unique design and color scheme.
The first fitted hat we have has a stone colored base with the visor being a nice maroon. The NASCAR racing logo embroidered on the front hat. On the right, you can find a patch with the logo for the NASCAR Chicago Street Racing Weekend in Chicago’s famous blue and red colors.
The next fitted hat we have is all black with Bubba Wallace number 23 embroidered in red across the front. The NASCAR Chicago Street Racing Weekend patch is on the right again, but in red and black this time. We also have a mesh hat that is very similar to this hat, with the only difference being the patch on the right. The patch is more simplistic with it only saying NASCAR 2023 Chicago.
The final fitted hat we have has a black base with the NASCAR logo in silver on the front with a small 1948 in blue below the logo. The top of the bill is a gray with a bold blue underbelly. The NASCAR Chicago Street Racing Weekend logo appears on the back of the hat this time, with the right featuring a 1948 NASCAR red car patch.
Onto the adjustable hat, it is a darker blue with a brown bill. The front features NASCAR 2023 Chicago, while the right has NASCAR racing on the side.
This snapback hat has a combination of brown and bronze, with the NASCAR Racing logo being green and has more of a throwback look. The right has that same 1948 NASCAR car patch from before, but the car is white and the rest of the patch matches the brown/bronze/green color scheme.
Lastly, our two-toned snapback's colorway matches the Chicago flag! The NASCAR Street Race logo is front and center of this cap. The diamond side patch is designed in white, high quality threads.
With the NASCAR Chicago Street Race just around the corner, make sure to get your exclusive Clark Street Sports NASCAR hat for the big weekend and we hope to see you there on July 1st and 2nd!
